One evening, a lonely fisherman found a mermaid in his net. She stayed with him and lived as a woman on land and a mermaid in the sea, while he aged and she did not. News of this strange and unusual woman reached the ears of a man who sold the strange and unusual. He was P.T. Barnum, and he was looking for a mermaid.
