Battle of San Juan Hill

The Battle of San Juan Hill is an actual misnomer, but was popularized in the American Press of the day. The actual battle was for the San Juan Heights. The heights were a north-south running elevation about two kilometers east of Santiago de Cuba. The names San Juan Hill and Kettle Hill were names given by the Americans.
